One course we’re determined to play -

Sep 11 2010

We had an email this week from a member of Askernish (http://www.askernishgolfclub.com), asking us whether the GoKart can cope with steep hills (of course), and giving a link to his course.  So we took a look, and what a gem it proved to be! It’s now very high up on our list of courses we have to visit at some point.

Designed in 1891 by Old Tom Morris, Askernish lies on the island of South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides. (more…)

GoKart Summer Puzzle winner

Sep 11 2010

Well all good things have to come to an end sooner or later, and that includes the neurone busting frenzy that was the GoKart Summer Puzzle.  We’ve had a shedload of entries (and we do have a very big shed), which was pretty impressive given the despicable nature of the questions.  Our huge thanks to Joe Davies for putting it together for us.

The eventual winner was Chris B from Narborough, who was last seen punching the air and avidly waiting for a courier to arrive, bearing the new GoKart he won.

We’ve left the puzzle live, so if you haven’t already you can still go and play. The clues available on the supporting forum will stay there to help you through any tricky bits, or you can email us if you get very stuck. There just isn’t a prize at the end of it any more.  But, hey, it’s the journey that’s fun, not the getting there – isn’t that what they say?
